Quality Assurance Tester

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated QA Engineer / Manual Tester to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive manual testing. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in identifying and addressing issues, contributing to the overall improvement of our software development process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning and Strategy:
2. • Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand software requirements and define comprehensive test plans.
   • Develop test strategies that align with project goals and timelines.
     
     
3.  Test Case Design and Execution:
4. • Create detailed and effective test cases based on project specifications.
   • Execute manual tests to identify defects, ensuring the software meets quality standards.
   • Conduct exploratory testing to discover hidden issues.
     
     
5. Defect Identification and Reporting:
6. • Thoroughly document and report defects, ensuring clear communication with developers and project stakeholders.
   • Participate actively in defect triage meetings to prioritise and address identified issues.
     
     
7. Regression Testing:
8. • Conduct regular regression testing to ensure that new features or bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
     
     
9. Documentation:
10. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results.
    • Create and update testing-related documentation as needed.
      
      
11. Collaboration:
12. • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts. 
    • Provide constructive feedback and contribute to discussions on improving overall product quality.
      
      
13. Process Improvement:
14. • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process
    • Identify opportunities for automation and work with the automation team as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer or Manual Tester in a software development environment.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• ISTQB certification or similar qualifications are a plus.
